Dubrovnik is a Croatian city on the Adriatic Sea, in the region of Dalmatia. It is one of the most prominent tourist destinations in the Mediterranean, a seaport and the centre of Dubrovnik-Neretva County.

Dubrovačka privatna gimnazija / Dubrovnik Private High School was founded in 2009. We started as a small school with 26 students in the first generation and only three full-time employees at the time. Today there are around 80 students in four generations, aged between 14 and 18. All our students take English as the first foreign language, and all of them choose Spanish, German, Italian or French as the second foreign language. All our teachers are fluent in English, both written and spoken. We are trying to modernize our educational system, keep it up to date and interesting and because of that we are the first Croatian high school to have introduced i-Pads into the regular educational process as an aded value of modernized teaching. We are also currently teaching History bilingualy - world history is taught and tested in English and national history in Croatian language. We plan to gradually introduce bilingual classes to other subjects.

Every year we take part in a number of activities and projects dealing with history, language, culture, ecology and ethnology, and we achieve a very significant success in various fields of teaching – especially in history and foreign languages.We are recognized in our community as “a different school“ with a specific individual approach, family atmosphere, less stress, friendly relationship between students and their teachers, successful preparation of our students for their exams and future jobs.

The school has always been involved in a wide range of humanitarian activities, cooperation with local community as well as field-classes We are lucky to live in one of the most beautiful medieval Mediterranean cities and one of the most important Croatian touristic and cultural centres. Being proud of both our history and present days, we are open to all people and to all kinds of cooperation.
